Renegade Hangover is a emo rock group now residing in a packed underground Springs scene. They stand out with their passion, specifically with playing shows given any opportunity. And every time they do play, they kill it. Also make sure to listen to no bong water, that's an all-timer for the Springs scene. -Justin

The Black Sheep is a corner stone of the CO Springs scene as they have been around since 2005. Other than being a cornerstone of the community. Black Sheep features a heavy variety of artists and themed nights all for dirt cheap. So hey, what's not to love? -Brody

Thrashers is a relatively new venue in the Springs area. But they are one of the coolest in the scene. Thrashers is heavily inspired by skater/punk culture, and features weekly shows by mostly local punk acts. Also they have pinball machines which is the sickest thing ever. -Brody

What's Left is a record store that turns into a venue when the sun sets. With an amazing record selection and even better local artist features, there's not much else you could ask for from a venue. Also our annual vinylathon is always supplied by What's Left. So huge shout out for the shows/records -Justin

Shuga's is maybe the easiest way to score points with your mom or a date. Their food features a ton of different flavors and combos not normally seen at food joints. My personal favorite is the coconut shrimp soup, I know it sounds weird, but trust me it's a BANGER. But so is the rest of their menu. -Brody

Radio Staple

Overseas 101 is the undisputed staple of UCCS Radio. Offering heaping portions of good as hell Chinese food, whenever we need food for vinylthon or other events... it's always overseas. Our personal favorites are the orange chicken and general Tso's chicken. And yes, it comes with eggroll. -UCCS Radio

BJ's Velvet Freeze is the definition of a Spring's institution. It's been around for 50+ years, and they still serve some of the best ice cream around. Also it's dirt cheap, so it's quite literally the perfect ice cream spot. Also take it from me, get a cherry dipped vanilla cone. It's better than sex. -Brody

Circa Vintage stands out in a stacked cast of second hand stores in CO Springs. Now even though other stops may have bigger stores, Circa's curation is just better. Also their vintage sweater selection is the best in the Springs, they always got me looking like a grandpa... in a cool way. -Brody

Hause Collective is a collection of second hand stores, with two in the Springs. One in the Citadel and one in Chapel Hills mall, both of which are absolutely baller. One of the best things about Hause, is that it is made up of independent sellers. So no matter your price range, there is 100% someone who has an item within any budget. Really nice for broke radio workers... ha. -Brody
